The concentrationsofmetals Such asMn, Cd, Pb, Cu, and Zn in the watersample collected from 8 sites(S 1 — S 8 ) and the solution-ionsin the manganese sulphate waste residue deposited alongthe Huayuan Riverwere determined. TheresultsshowedthatthelevelsofMn and Cd wereoverthe Chinaenvironmental quality standardsforsurface water(GB 3838-2002).
