Considering trophic status of lake water as the grey system, the comprehensive assessment model for lake eutrophication attribute identification was established, of which determination of the trophic classification are conducted by the grey clustering with whitenization weight function under the setting of the water grades as grey classes, and water quality as grey variables. As a case of Taihu lake, the grey clustering comprehensive assessment model was employed to evaluate the water eutrophication status, based on monitoring data of 20 sampling sites arranged throughout the lake. The results indicate that nutrition levels of most region of Taihu lake were moderate basically, and just a few parts were eutrophicated in midrange in the monitoring period. It is shown that the established model can describe the lake trophic status objectively and reasonably. |
