Based on Landsat TM/OLI images in 1990 and 2015, Remote sensing ecological evaluation index (RSEI) was adopted to analyze the ecological environment of 14 cities along Silk Road Economic Belt(China section), including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin etc. The results showed that the mean value of RSEI in Lanzhou, Jinan, Turpan, Xuzhou, Beijing, Tianjin, Urumqi and Hangzhou increased from 0.276, 0.417, 0.311, 0.464, 0.441, 0.442, 0.253 and 0.419 in 1990 to 0.379, 0.495, 0.352, 0.559, 0.461, 0.474, 0.387 and 0.446 in 2015, respectively, indicating that the ecological environment was improved. Meanwhile, the mean value of RSEI in Shanghai, Nanjing, Xining, Yinchuan, Dalian and Hohhot decreased from 0.581, 0.464, 0.540, 0.352, 0.623 and 0.528 in 1990 to 0.409, 0.306, 0.501, 0.346, 0.568 and 0.508 in 2015, respectively, indicating that the ecological environment was deteriorated. |
