The characteristics of air pollutants in Shanghai Hongqiao airport were analyzed by comparing the atmospheric pollutant monitoring data from the airport in 2016 with the data from the national monitoring stations in the city. The results showed that the main air pollutants in Hongqiao airport were NO2 and PM2.5. As the pollution level increased, the frequency of PM2.5 being the primary pollutant also increased. The mean of NO2 at Hongqiao airport was significantly higher than that from other monitoring stations in each season. The diurnal variation of NO2 had the characteristic of “double peaks and double valleys”. The peak time of NO2 appeared in the airport site was about 1 hour earlier than that from other sites. The concentration of PM2.5 in winter was significantly higher than that in other stations, but in other seasons, they were rather the same. The diurnal variation of PM2.5 had “double peaks” feature in winter, and the peak time appeared in the morning was 1 or 2 hours earlier than that in other stations. This situation didnt occurre in summer. The daily variation of O3 showed that its generation rate and NO2 consumption rate were both higher than that in other sites in the morning. |
