Rapid liquid chromatography triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC MS/MS) was used to determine 31 pharmaceuticals and personal care products in surface water. By optimizing the analytical conditions, the linearity of the method was good in the range of 0.01 μg/L to 10.0 μg/L. The method detection limits were from 0.2 ng/L to 1.2 ng/L. The recoveries for surface water samples at two concentration levels ranged from 64.8% to 125%, the RSD of six repeated measurements was less than 11%. The method was applied in determining 10 water samples from two rivers in Shanghai, the concentrations of diazepam, fluconazole, climbazole, caffeine, cotinine and aminophenazone were 6.56 ng/L~302 ng/L, the rest were undetected. |
