| Data collection and field investigation of groundwater environmental monitoring wells were carried out in Guangdong Province, 3 620 available monitoring wells were counted, and the number, distribution, function and monitoring of the wells were analyzed. The results showed that there were still some problems, such as inadequate implementation of EIA wells construction and monitoring tasks, incomplete management system of groundwater environmental monitoring wells, low information management level of monitoring wells, and imperfect layout of monitoring network. Combined with the requirements of groundwater pollution prevention and control management, countermeasures were proposed to improve the management regulation and standard system of monitoring wells, strengthen the construction and maintenance of groundwater environmental monitoring wells, promote the information construction and data sharing of monitoring wells, and improve the groundwater environmental monitoring network. |
