| In response to the new requirements for urban carbon monitoring and assessment, this study explored and established a carbon monitoring and assessment technical system in Shenzhen. This system covered three aspects such as carbon emission sources from enterprises, urban ambient air and carbon sinks in ecosystem. It mainly included the construction of monitoring networks, the improvement of monitoring capabilities, full process quality control, data analysis and emission model assessment. The implementation pathways for carbon monitoring and assessment were proposed, including establishing a high precision integrated carbon monitoring network, conducting carbon sink monitoring and investigation in typical ecosystems, developing a localized “top down” carbon inversion model, and focusing on the integration of pilot monitoring and accounting verification in key industries. |
